Cobert Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cobert, the trading name of Rokas Giedrys (“Cobert”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Cobert mobile application, website, and related services (together, the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information created through your use of Cobert, and information made available by connected services.
Account and contact information
When you register or manage an account, we may collect your email address, password credentials in protected form, name, account identifiers, subscription tier, and communications you send to us.
Profile and training information
Depending on the features you use, this may include birth date, sex or gender selection, height, weight, preferred units, time zone, experience level, training locations, running or strength frequency, goals, training plans, exercises, workouts, sets, activities, personal records, daily metrics, notes, and progress information. You may also choose to provide a profile image or other content.
Some of this information may be considered health or wellness information, or sensitive personal information, under applicable law. Please do not provide information you do not want Cobert to process.
Connected services and devices
If you connect a supported service or device, we may receive information it makes available, such as activity records, identifiers, timestamps, metrics, and connection status. The exact information depends on the permissions you grant and the third party’s settings.
Device, usage, and technical information
We may collect IP address, device and operating-system details, app version, language, time zone, crash and diagnostic data, log data, approximate location inferred from IP, and information about how you interact with the Service. We use cookies or similar technologies on the website where needed for functionality, security, preferences, or measurement, subject to applicable consent requirements.
Information from others
We may receive information from service providers that help us authenticate accounts, operate the Service, prevent abuse, process support requests, or maintain security.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account;
- provide, personalise, and improve workouts, plans, tracking, sync, insights, and other requested features;
- import, normalise, and display information from connected services;
- communicate with you about the Service, security, support, and material changes;
- diagnose errors, monitor performance, prevent fraud, and protect our rights and users;
- understand aggregate usage and improve product design; and
- comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not use your training or wellness information to make decisions about your eligibility for employment, insurance, credit, housing, or similar opportunities.
3. Legal bases
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in operating and securing Cobert, or with your consent. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
4. How we share information
We may share information:
- with hosting, database, storage, authentication, customer-support, security, analytics, communications, and other service providers acting on our instructions;
- with a connected service when you choose to connect or export information to it;
- with professional advisers, auditors, insurers, or prospective transaction parties subject to confidentiality obligations;
- when necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or to protect rights, safety, and security; and
- with your direction or consent.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not share your wellness information with advertisers.
5. International transfers
Cobert and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. When required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another legally recognised mechanism.
6. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain an active account, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the Service. Retention periods vary by the type and purpose of information. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymise it, or securely isolate it where deletion is not immediately possible.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No service or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You should use a unique password and protect your device and account credentials.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information; receive a portable copy; withdraw consent; and complain to a data-protection authority.
You can update certain account information in Cobert, disconnect integrations through available controls, and request account deletion by contacting us. Deleting an account may not remove information we must retain by law or information held by a connected service. We may verify requests and may retain limited information to prevent fraud, comply with law, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
To exercise a right, contact hello@cobert.app. If you are in the EEA or United Kingdom, you may also contact your local supervisory authority. If Cobert acts as a processor for an organisation that provides you access to the Service, direct privacy requests to that organisation first.
9. Children
Cobert is not directed to children below the minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children who are not permitted to use the Service. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
10. Third-party services and links
The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this Policy. Review those notices before providing information to a third party.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and change the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where required by law. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date means the updated Policy applies to future processing.
